Our Mission
The low voltage industry is one of the fastest-growing skilled trades in the country — yet women represent a fraction of its workforce. Women Behind Racks exists to change that.
We connect women with training, mentorship, and career pathways in structured cabling, smart home integration, AV system design, control system programming, and intelligent building technology.
What We Do
Hands-on pathways into structured cabling, low voltage installation, and smart home systems. From OSHA basics to rack build certifications — we develop skilled technicians from the ground up.
Training in AV system design, network architecture, lighting control, and home automation layout. We teach women to think, draw, and spec systems with confidence.
Deep dives into control system programming — Crestron, Lutron, Josh.ai, and more. We develop the next generation of female programmers who bring intelligent buildings to life.
